Our Impact & Programs
Course Based Learning
In partnership with Microsoft, AAF created the ‘Intro to Budgeting: For Students’ program, with the goal of equipping middle and high school students with foundational money management skills through engaging, age-appropriate modules covering budgeting, saving, responsible spending, and digital financial tools.
Teacher Appreciation Day
Collaborating with the Lids Foundation allowed for the creation of Teacher Appreciation Day; together, we deliver critical and essential school supplies and learning materials to teachers, students, and staff in under-resourced public schools, ensuring they have the tools needed for academic success. all begins with an idea. Maybe you want to launch a business. Maybe you want to turn a hobby into something more. Or maybe you have a creative project to share with the world. Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.
Applied Entrepreneurship
Through our partnership with 2K Foundations, AAF drove the creation of a 6-week, entrepreneurial program focused on creative business development through a comprehensive schedule. 2KF and AAF worked together with Youth Entrepreneurship Institute and the Boys & Girls Club of Greater Washington to identify partners to provide introductory and advanced guidance on how to take a business idea to market.
Leadership Institute
Beginning in March 2020, Ariel has been leading the Ariel Atkins Leadership Institute in her hometown of Duncanville, TX and at the Boys & Girls Club of Greater Washington. The program was created by Ariel, primarily as a way to connect with the local youth, while imparting crucial on/off court lessons learned from her collegiate and professional career. The interactions prioritized workshops and discussions crucial to all areas of life, such as confidence, self-awareness, overcoming adversity, career development, and much more.
